My point wasn’t the fact that it was ugly. My point was that VERY often a product with bad UI is a dead giveaway of bad “engine” behind it. So the UI execution quality shows that likely all the rest of the work is also pretty bad.

So to rephrase: By looking at this app (before it failed) you could’ve predicted someone did a bad job here — and not only on the UI.
