The past shifts

I’ve been very fortunate to be a part of all the major web shifts. From the mid-90’s I witnessed the emergence of gif’s on the web, then basic CSS, Flash, VRML (most don’t know what it stands for now), all the way to overhyped Web 2.0, Web 3.0, rise of social media, responsive web, HTML5 and more.

One of my first designs (and code) websites in 1998. Lots of raster editing and an animated electric bolt in a GIF. This back then was something completely new and unexplored.

But none of these shifts have made me as excited for the future of the web as I am right now. Our complete in-house process at the company became just that cool.
