It's also sometimes a good idea to be "last" as you can see HOW people are using these features on Android and tailor it to only do what's actually being used.

Personally I'm not too sure widgets are THAT useful, I only use two currently and they update quite slowly on iOS so the experience there is not that great.

But it's good to have a choice.
