UX has always been a very serious industry. Jokes are rare and usually frowned upon, and the simple act of moving some rectangles after a round of very simple research has rose to a scientific rank of curing diseases.

I don’t believe that’s the case, and we designers need to chill and relax a little bit more often, because the things we do aren’t THAT important — just building some apps and websites that in most cases people could just as well live without. (Of course there are exceptions).
