Accessibility can be solved with an underlying "version" just for screen readers. I'm actually for special accessibility settings on websites - meaning not making extremely high contrast for everyone when a large number of people don't need it, but having a clear, visible switch to a fully accessible version and that version should handle screen readers + high contrasts at the same time.
